The most promising sexual enhancer that I have come across…

As compared to all the other vitamins/supplements/herbs that are out on the market promoting “sexual satisfaction,” I would have to say that I have gotten the best response from this herb. Granted I have only taken this herb for 2 days, however I noticed results the first day that I started taking it. After doing some research, the dosage that I decided to use is 2 capsules (400mg each) per day, 2 days on 2 days off (as recommended by multiple literary sources). The first day went on as normal leaving me feel pretty normal. The night however, brought more of a response that I was expecting/hoping for. When my girlfriend and I went to bed I couldn’t keep my hands off of her, which led me to more or less pounce on her. I experienced really intense, almost overwhelming sexual desire and felt as though I wanted to go all night long with her. Touching & kissing her skin alone left me incredibly horney and I couldn’t get enough of her. The following days have been filled with similar experiences, a lot of physical play, and an increase of sexual thoughts running through my head.

Side effects: there can be several side effects that are realized with this herb. To date, I have only experienced being slightly more irritable (pissy) than normal on days that I take the herb.

I have tried many herbs and supplements in my search to enhance my sexual experiences: Damiana, Maca, Rhodiola Rosea, Epimedium (horney goat weed), Muira Puama, Ginkgo Biloba, Tribulus Terrestris, L-Arginine, and now Tongkat Ali. Out of all of these, Tongkat Ali produced the most noticeable result that I was very impressed with. While use of L-Arginine produced more of a physical result (increase of semen and slighly longer & stronger orgasm), Tongkat Ali produces an increase in libido and sexual desire. More experimentation is needed and I will update this review as I continue to take this product.

appears to help hormone levels

let me preface this by saying that i use or have tried many supplements. most have had minimal change overall. however, I have note dthat in taking Tongkat plus a supplement called Catuaba, my sexual rebound ability has greatly increased, making me feel 20 again (at least in some areas). i did not do a before and after testosterone level check (would be interesting), but it definitely has helped rebound and production. Try it!!

Great herbal anti-inflammatory formula

As both a professional massage therapist, and as someone who has my own share of aches and pains, Zyflamend is one of the best
products I’ve found on the market. Unlike many prescription medications which have both high markup, & some unwanted
side-effects, this product does the job and is reasonably priced.
I use it daily, and recommend it to many of my clients. The combination of herbs is responsible for helping the muscles & joints to be much less tense & painful, thereby helping you feel better all the way around. (Try it with magnesium as well, for an
even better effect.) It is important to cut down inflammation in the body, as it is responsible for many illnesses from arthritus to heart disease & cancer.

It does come in a few different size containers & formulations, so check those out to be sure of what you are buying. One version you have to take 6 caps rather than the recommended 3, but that is because they are smaller size caps. Another is their PM version, which has herbs which are for a relaxation effect, meant for taking before bedtime. There is also a tincture formula, but the taste is very strong, so be aware of that before you purchase !

I have taken Zyflamend for approx two years. First heard about it through DrWeil.com (He is all about intergrated medicine.

I ordered the 120 capsules for $27.47. plus 4.99 shp. This was my first time ordering this product on line. Previously I purchased this at a health food store. Which I will no longer do because I was paying $27 plus tax for only 60 capsules.

Just be careful when ordering not to go for the 90 capsules for I think it said $17 something. They are smaller capsules for those who map have difficulty swollowing a large capsule. Keep in mind you would have to take more of the small to eqivalent the dose you get from the large capsule (60 or 120 size bottle)

I had read a previous review where someone purchased the small bottle of 90 thinking it was the same thing.

It would be nice for it to detail that in the description so no one else would make that oversight.

As for the product …what greater way is there to take something that controls imflammation. I have osteo arthritus in my hips and it works for me….with out the risk and side effects of Viox and all the other prescription drugs that attack the cox two inhibitors. Must be taken in the middle of a meal. It will digest better. Read the info in the box.

Also..my total body inflammation level went from 3.2 to under .5 over one and a half years. Total body inflammation level can be found out by a blood test called CRP-Reactive Protien blood test. (a high level is a predictor for heart problems)

so……Great product …..go for it.

zyflamend herbal supplement works

I injured my knees skiing in my 20′s when I fell and my bindings didn’t give. My knees began to give me significant trouble in my 50′s and I tried zyflamend to avoid the anti-inflammatory/arthritis drugs that were being recalled. Zyflamend has helped tremendously. Finally An Allergen Free Bar!!

These bars are terrific for an on-the-go snack! Finally there is a bar that doesn’t have nuts and/or soy! We cannot have gluten, casein, soy or nuts and prior to the NuGo Free bars, we were out of options when it came to snack bars. This is reasonably healthy as well – less sugar than you’d guess by tasting the bar, and fair amount of protein. When you have numerous food restrictions and must take your food with you everywhere, it feels amazing to be able to pack a bar and go! Especially with kids, I know that if I have some of these in the car, I don’t have to be so worried about running a bit late (and I can reduce the amount of banana peels left in the car – the other quick snack!). They are tasty enough that my daughter considers these bars to be a treat – they are chocolate afterall! Bravo to Amazon for adding NuGo Free to their inventory.

Think gluten-free, soy-free, and dairy-free bars will taste bad? Nope! Then again, dark chocolate solves everything. They are a little dry, but overall they are filling, convenient and satisfy that chocolate/sweet craving.

DHEA, questionable benefit for younger males

I decided to try this stuff because it supposedly can increase libido and balance hormones in older males with adrenal problems. I am 30, a young male, and I figured more could be better, because what male doesn’t want greater libido right?

DHEA is converted in the body to androgens such as testosterone and estrogens.

However if you already have plenty of testosterone if you are a young male, like myself, you will probably not notice anything, because your body will self regulate what it wants to convert the excess DHEA into.

I am 30 years old, after one month of taking one pill daily, and then stopping, I noticed zero effect either starting or stopping.

After stopping for a few months and then taking one pill daily for 2 weeks and then stopping, I noticed zero effect.

The only placebo studies done with this stuff are on OLDER men and older women, and those findings ARE promising.

This is essentially hormone replacement therapy, so I hesitate to finish my two bottles because I don’t want to mess up how my body regulates its hormone levels. It’s something I’ll keep in mind as I age, and maybe take when I’m in my late 40′s or 50′s.

Natrol is Reliable Quality

If you’re experiencing the “testo” slow down with aging, then I recommend giving these a go. As others have noted, however, a full tablet may be too much (as it is for me, too). So I recommend getting a pill splitter and go halves. Much more even “energy” then.

I would also take it with your evening (or lightest) meal. Much better benefit after a good night’s sleep than otherwise…

Great stuff! Great for biking

Definitely the best tasting of the bunch, but we’re not taking these for the flavor, but it helps. I liked the previous mixture better (the thicker ones) to this batch. When in your shirt pocket on the roadie, these hit up and get really liquidy. Not as much potassium at a Gu shot (hence the 4 stars), but I like the flavor and protein contents. More Potassium would get it the 5 stars. The 20 mg shot of caffiene doesn’t hurt either. Great for on the ride.

For Mtn Biking when you can carry more. Raisins have better sugar quality and over 500 mg of potassium in a 1/2cup. Great for on-trail and chewable nutrition.

After a ride, Endurox R4 is the best recovery drink for me. Cytomax was absolutely wonderful, but I couldn’t take the “stomach symphony” and “mosh pit party” that came with it.

It works and it tastes good!

Accel Gel provides a little protein that is supposed to slow lean-muscle catabolization and a little carbohydrate/sugar that provides immediate energy for workout or competition. I don’t know much about the science behind the anti-catabolism claims, but for me it helps delay the onset of debilitating fatigue and I have less muscle less muscle soreness post-event.

I use it for long runs (15 marathons last year, 3 ultras this year–50k, 50mi & 77mi) and for training sessions lasting an hour or more. The trick has been to take one Accel Gel every hour or so with some water. For really long events the gel alone isn’t enough for me and I usually have a power bar half an hour or so before the event starts.

It tastes pretty good too. It’s sweet but not too sweet–I don’t feel like I need to brush my teeth right after I take it. Some of the other gels are syrupy and require too much water to wash down. Accel Gel Vanilla is just right.

Great tasting Key Lime

I started using Accel gels to replace my standby gel for the last couple years. The 4-to-1 carbohydrate to protein ratio was a big reason for the shift as many of my runs lately have been past an hour and in double digits. It complements the Accel drinks and appear to make a difference on the longer runs. I like to mix the caffeinated chocolate with the double caffeine raspberry cream and uncaffeinated key lime in my runs to keep the caffeine coming when needed. Another plus to these gels is the viscosity. It is thinner than a lot of gels, which makes it easier to consume when it is cold outside.

Specific to the Key Lime flavor – it is terrific. I wish it had caffeine in it so I could use it more during my early morning runs!

Vegan DHA that’s hard to find otherwise

Vegans and vegetarians have two barriers to obtaining DHA: It is commonly derived from fish (coldwater fish) and when supplied in easy-to-swallow capsules, is encapsulated in gelatin. Of course, vegans/vegetarians won’t consume either.

Then again, even though DHA is converted from ALA (flaxseed sourced) in the body, the conversion is hindered by the processing of non-alpha linoleic acid (LA). So the safest bet is to get DHA directly. If you’re vegetarian/vegan and prefer to not consume fish juice and bone jelly (gelatin) then this product is perfect for you.

The DHA is sourced from algae, probably the same algae that provide DHA to fish, and is delivered in v-caps, vegan capsules that don’t use animal gelatin. Some doctors consider this a purer form and recommend algal DHA to children and pregnant mothers.

Be aware that there is a light fishy smell so if that bothers you, swallow quickly.

Nice to have a DHA for vegans. I keep the bottle in the freezer and take the capsules in the middle of a meal directly from the freezer. I find that eliminates the fishy burping.

Good Product

I have been using this product for over two years. It is enteric coated so it helps with the fishy aftertaste. Algae smells like fish so there is a slight fishy smell but no fishy burping after you swallow. I recommend it.
